Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – MalaysianMinister of Home Affairs Hamzah Zainudin announced on January 13 that hiscountry will establish four more international gateways in Sarawak,Johor and Terengganu in 2022.
In his 2022 New Year message, Hamzah said that the new entry points at Teluk Melano and Kapitin Sarawak, and Pengerang in Johor and Setiu in Terengganu, will facilitate travelinto the country and boost economic cooperation with neighbouring nations.
The Malaysian government had allocated 8.8 million RM (4.4 million USD) underits 2022 budget for building eight border control posts to increase thepresence of General Operations Force enforcement personnel, he said.
