Hanoi (VNA) – New PrimeMinister of Malaysia MahathirMohamad on May 14 announced a scheme to revamp the country’s anti-corruptionagency while affirming his determination to investigate all alleged crimescommitted by the previous government.
The PM told thepress on May 14 that he will appoint new heads of the anti-corruption agencyand the Justice Ministry, saying he hopes to finalise key positions of the newCabinet this week.
The leader alsoinstructed Malaysian agencies not to take out or destroy documents tofacilitate investigations when necessary. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Financewas asked to review the budget in order to reduce the government expenses.
