HCM City (VNA) – The customs agency atTan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City has busted a ringtrafficking marijuana from the US to Vietnam.
It said on August 26 that marijuana had beensent from California and Philadelphia of the US to three persons in HCM Cityand one in the central province of Binh Dinh.
The drug had been divided and hidden in manypackages of foods, cosmetics and personal effects and then sent to Vietnam atdifferent times.
By using professional measures, the customs bodydiscovered and seized 5.24kg of marijuana. The recipients in Vietnam have alsobeen arrested.
Since the beginning of 2018, the Tan Son NhatAirport customs agency has uncovered 42 batches of goods containing nearly 57kgof marijuana trafficked from the US to Vietnam via Tan Son Nhat InternationalAirport.-VNA
