Meeting looks into strategy on building, perfecting rule-of-law socialist State

Hanoi (VNA) – President Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a meeting in Hanoi on July 11 between the standing board of the steering committee for the strategy on building and perfecting a rule-of-law socialist State till 2030 with a vision towards 2045, and the Government’s Party Civil Affairs Committee.
The participants contributed opinions on the contents regarding the organisation and operation of the Government, focusing on achievements, limitations, tasks and solutions.
In his remarks, President Phuc, head of the steering committee, lauded the seriousness and the sense of responsibility of the Government’s Party Civil Affairs Committee in completing tasks assigned by the steering committee.
The State leader lauded opinions on the functions, tasks and power of agencies in the State’s administrative apparatus, including the establishment of new institutions.
He urged agencies to make more contributions to the draft, thus ensuring the quality and progress of the project.
𓄧 Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, deputy head of the steering committee, approved decentralisation coupled with revised resource allocation and the restructuring of administrative units as proposed by the project’s compiling team./.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a meeting in Binh Duong province on June 20 to collect feedback from Party committees of southern localities on a strategy for building and perfecting a rule-of-law socialist State till 2030 with orientations to 2045.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on July 6 urged the Supreme People’s Procuracy to continue renovating its operation to meet the requirements of judicial reform and the building and perfection of a rule-of-law socialist state.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc had a working session with the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Ministry of Justice on July 7 to collect ideas to complete a draft strategy on building and perfecting a rule-of-law socialist state until 2030 with a vision to 2045.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Long spoke highly of the dynamic, positive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam – Russia relations in recent years. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State place great importance on further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia in a substantive and effective manner, in line with the development needs of both nations.
At the conference, participants reported that the Government has so far issued 28 decrees on the delegation of responsibilities and powers between the central Government and two-tier local administrations. Several localities have already piloted the new governance model.

Under the official dispatch signed on June 20, ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, and chairpersons of provincial and municipal People’s Committees are requested to concentrate efforts on implementing core measures to ensure the smooth operations of the new administrative framework.
The Party chief underscored the need for the press to innovate relentlessly, evolve to keep pace with the country's development, transform into a truly professional, humanistic, and modern sector that serves the cause of the Party, the State, and the people on the path to national construction and development.
The UN Secretary-General praised Vietnam’s remarkable achievements in socio-economic development and international integration in recent years, noting that the country has emerged as a model in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting international peace and security, and engaging in key UN processes.
