Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnamese badminton players Nguyen Tien Minh an💙d Vu Thi Trang triumphed at the Maurice’s Pools and Spas Waikato International 2016 in Hamilton, New Zealand, on March 19.

First seed Minh defeated No 4 seed Shin Kuei Chun 21-23, 21-8, 21-8 in the men’s singles final.
Earlier, world No 43 Minh crushed Ching-Hung of Chinese Taipei 21-18, 11-21, 21-14 in the third round.
Minh’s girlfriend, Trang, world No 46 and No 1 seed bested world No 81 Hsuan-Yu Wendy 21-15, 21-15 in the women’s final. Both Minh and Trang will compete in the New Zealand Open that begins on March 22.-VNA
