Hanoi (VNA) – Legislators and voters expressedhope that ministers will put their words at the question-and-answer (Q&A)session of the 14th National Assembly’s fifth session into action.
Ministries should produce periodical reportsabout measures to address issues of public concerns, Nguyen Thi Mai Hoa, adeputy from the Mekong Delta of Dong Thap said.
Hoa expressed her satisfaction with the Q&Asession over the past three days, which adopted a new time rule that alloweddeputies to question for one minute and ministers to answer for three minutes.
This forced ministers to givestraight-to-the-point answers, she said.
She said she was impressed by the delivery ofanswers by the Ministers of the Transport, Natural Resources and Environment,Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs and Education and Training.
The ministers are aware of theirresponsibilities and presented measures to remove bottlenecks in the field oftheir management, Hoa said.
Meanwhile, deputy Pham Khanh Phong Lan from HoChi Minh City, said questions raised at the function covered a diverse varietyof issues.
The Q&A session was truly a discussion withministers providing direct answers, she added.

Dinh Duy Vuot, a deputy from the CentralHighland province of Gia Lai, said the queries for Deputy Prime Ministers VuongDinh Hue and Vu Duc Dam are quite difficult.
However, most of the answers were clear andstraightforward, he said.
He said he was impressed by the answers ofDeputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue about various issues of public concernfrom economy to culture and society.
Agreeing, deputy Nguyen Van Son from the centralprovince of Ha Tinh praised the answers by the Deputy Prime Ministers as short,clear and intelligible.
Most of lawmakers agreed that the reform of the questiontime made the atmosphere more exciting.

Question and answer sessions of the fifth sitting of the 14th National Assembly (NA) took place from June 4-6 in a democratic, frank and responsible atmosphere, said NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

Legislators will discuss in groups the draft revised laws on public security and animal husbandry during the ongoing fifth sitting of the 14th National Assembly in Hanoi on June 7.
