Quang Ninh (VNA) – The final round of the Miss Ha Long 2018 pageant will take placein Ha Long city, the northern province of Quang Ninh on May 12.
The information was revealed at a press conference in Tuan Chau island, Ha Longcity on May 8, during which the winner’s crown worth 300 million VND was made public.
The Miss HaLong 2018 pageant will be jointly held by the Quang Ninh Broadcasting andTelevision Station, the provincial Department of Culture and Sports, theprovincial Women’s Federation and the Au Lac - Quang Ninh Co., Ltd.
At the final night, contestants will compete in the categoriesof traditional costume (ao dai), swimsuit and evening wear. The five mostexcellent girls will enter question-and-answer sessions for the top three.
Earlier, the organising board selected the 20 most outstanding candidates fromqualifying rounds for the finale, including those from remote and ethnicminority inhabited areas.
It plans to sell 1,300 out of 2,300 final night tickets to raise money for theprovince’s fund for young talents.
The Miss Ha Long pageant is an important cultural event of Quang Ninh province.The biennial event is also one of the highlights of the National Tourism Year 2018– Ha Long – Quang Ninh.-VNA
