Director of the Klang Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA)Mohd Hambali Yaakub told the media that 18 have been rescued.

Initial investigations revealed that the boat, bound for TanjungBalai, sank at about 3 am, he said, adding that it was believed that theboat came from Pantai Morib in Selangor state.

The accidentcame nearly a day after 97 Indonesians on board another ship werethrown into the water when their boat capsized in Kuala Langat waters inSelangor state while en route to Tanjung Balai, Indonesia.

According to the search and rescue team, 62 were rescued, 9 died and 26 remain unaccounted for.-VNA
