Hanoi (VNA) 🍬– More leaders of political parties, countries and international organisations worldwide have conveyed their congratulations to Nguyen Phu Trong on his re-election as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The new congratulators included UK Prime Minister David Cameron, Chairman of the Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party Miyeeegombo Enkhbold, President of the Democratic Party of Japan Katsuya Okada, Honourary Chairman of the Bulgarian Communists Union Atanas Ivanov, President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Li Xiaolin, and Chief Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Vietnam Youssouf Abdel-Jelil. Nguyen Phu Trong was re-elected as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee at the 12th National Party Congress which took place in Hanoi from January 21-28. The Congress elected a 200-member Party Central Committee, including 180 official and 20 alternate ones.-VNA
