Hanoi (VNA) – Congratulations from world leadershave continued to flow in on the occasion of the 75th National Day of Vietnam(September 2).
In her congratulatory letter to Party GeneralSecretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong, Singaporean President HalimahYacob spoke highly of Vietnam’s socio-economic achievements as well as successin COVID-19 containment.
She affirmed the support for Vietnam tosuccessfully perform the 2020 ASEAN Chairmanship, expressing her wish tofurther strengthen the two countries’ strategic partnership on the basis of themultifaceted cooperation and close-knit ties between their leaders, businessesand peoples so as to jointly overcome current challenges.
On this occasion, Singaporean Prime Minister LeeHsien Loong sent congratulations to his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen XuanPhuc.
Ukrainia’s President Volodymyr Zelensky and PMDenis Shmygal also offered greetings to Party and State leader Nguyen Phu Trongand PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
Highly valuing Vietnam’s attainments over thepast years, the Ukrainian leaders voiced their hope for increased dialogue andmore effective cooperation in all aspects between the two sides, believing thattheir traditional friendship and comprehensive partnership will develop morestrongly for the sake of the two peoples.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Russia on September 2 held a meeting in Moscow to mark the 75th anniversary of National Day, and offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Poland held a ceremony in Warsaw on September 2 marking the 75th anniversary of National Day and the 70th anniversary of Vietnam – Poland diplomatic ties.
