Hanoi (VNA) – Winners of the Vietnam invention competition 2018, heldby the Ministry of Science and Technology under the support of the WorldIntellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the Korean Intellectual PropertyOffice (KIPO), and the Vietnam Television, will be honoured at a ceremony onApril 25.

Speaking at the final workshop on the competition held in Hanoi on April24, deputy head of the National Office of International Property of VietnamPhan Ngan Son said that the competition aims to encourage the creation of innovativetechnologies and technical solutions that are highly applicable and contributeto socio-economic development.

Son stated that the competition has received attention from thecommunity, offering a good opportunity for innovators to introduce theirproducts and intensify cooperation to promote them abroad.

The ten most outstanding innovative solutionswill be awarded at the April 25 ceremony, including the one in the environmentalfield, one in the pharmaceutical domain, one in the chemistry, three in theelectronic field and four in the construction and irrigation aspects.-VNA
