Hanoi (VNA) - Myanmar's military has extended the state of emergency for another six months.
This is the seventh extension by the junta since it took power in 2021.
Myanmar's Radio and Television Broadcasting said that the National Defense and Security Council (NDSC) on January 31 decided on the extension, which the NDSC said is necessary to ensure peace and stability for free and fair elections.
