Myanmar grants visa on arrival to Indians

Myanmar decided to grant Indian travellers visa-on-arrival (VoA) from December 13 with a view to luring travellers from the southern Asian country.

New Delhi (VNA) – Myanmar decided to grant Indian travellersvisa-on-arrival (VoA) from December 13 with a view to luring travellers fromthe southern Asian country.

Indian passport holders will get the VoA at Yangon, Mandalay and Naypyi Taw fora fee of 50 USD. The relaxation will allow Indians to go there without applyingfor Myanmar visa at the Myanmar Embassy in India or applying for the country’se-visa beforehand.

Earlier this year, Myanmar and India had also signedthe land-border crossing agreement, which opened the doors to touriststravelling by road with two entry-exit checkpoints, the Tamu-Moreh andRikhawdar-Zowkhawtar border.-VNA
