Hanoi (VNA) –Myanmar voters cast their ballots for open seats in the parliamentaryby-election on November 3.

More than 900,000 eligiblevoters are expected to vote at 1,383 polling stations.

A total of 69 candidates,including 62 from 24 political parties and seven individual candidates, arecompeting for 13 parliamentary seats in nine regions and states.

Of the 13 open parliamentaryseats, four are available with the House of Representative (Lower House), onewith the House of Nationalities (Upper House) and eight with the state orregion parliaments.

Among the 62 political partycandidates, 13 were nominated by the ruling NLD to compete in all seats, while10 by the former ruling Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP) and therest were sent by other parties.-VNA
