NA official receives France’s National Order of the Legion of Honour

Hanoi (VNA) – Nguyen Thuy Anh, member of the National Assembly Standing Committeeand Chairwoman of the NA’s Committee of Social Affairs, was presented theFrench State’s National Order of the Legion of Honour, Class Knight,at a ceremony in Hanoi on March 22.
Authorised by the French President, French Ambassador to Vietnam NicolasWarnery gave the noble order to Anh, who is also President of theVietnam-France Friendship Parliamentarians’ Group and Chairwoman of theParliamentary Assembly of the Francophone (APF)'s VietnamSub-Committee.
Hesaid the awarding is the French State’s recognition and high evaluation of hercontributions to deepening the friendship between France and Vietnam, as wellas to developing the Francophone movement./.
Vietnam ’s veteran diplomat Ton Nu Thi Ninh was awarded the third-class French Legion of Honour medal, announced the French Embassy in Hanoi on February 26.
France has conferred the second-class Legion of Honour Order on former Vietnamese Ambassador to France Trinh Ngoc Thai for his significant contributions to raising mutual understanding between the two countries.

At a review conference held on June 21, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh praised the province’s scientific, coordinated, and flexible approach. He noted that the early completion reflects the strong commitment of local authorities, the business community, philanthropists, and residents in improving housing conditions for disadvantaged groups.
