NA Standing Committee’s 21st session to open on March 15

The 15th National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee will convene its 21st session in Hanoi on March 15 to scrutinise a number of draft laws, according to the NA Office.

Hanoi (VNA) – The 15th National Assembly (NA) StandingCommittee will convene its 21st session in Hanoi on March 15 toscrutinise a number of draft laws, according to the NA Office.

During the six-day session, the NA Standing Committee will giveopinions on the draft Price Law (amended), the draft Law on Bidding (amended),and the draft Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law onPublic Security, the draft Law on Water Resources revised), the draft Law onthe Management and Protection of Defencee Works and Military Zones, and the Lawon Housing (revised); and comment on the explanation, acquisition and amendmentof the draft revised Cooperative Law.

Lawmakers will comment on the proposal to include the draft Lawon Citizenship Identity (amended) and the draft revised Law on CreditInstitutions in the 2023 Law and Ordinance Building Programme.

Regarding socio-economic issues, the NA Standing Committee willdiscuss the adjustment of investment in Ka Pet reservoir project in Ham ThuanNam district in the south central province of Binh Thuan.

It will consider the legislature's report on ombudsman work inFebruary, and consider and approve the Prime Minister’s proposal on theappointment and dismissal of ambassadors of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

A question and answer session will be held on March 20 andbroadcast live on TV and radio channels./.
