Hanoi (VNA) – The Standing Committee of the 14th NationalAssembly (NA) will convene its 14th session in Hanoi from September11-20, with a number of issues high on the agenda to prepare for the NA’sfourth meeting scheduled for next month. 

Duringthe session, the committee will present opinions on the draft Law on SpecialAdministrative -  Economic Units, the Lawon amendments and supplements to several articles of the Law on Physical Activityand Sports, the Law on Measurement and Map, the Law on amendments andsupplements to several articles of the Law on Environment Protection Tax, therevised Law on Competition, the Law on Cyber Security, the Law on Planning, theLaw on amendments and supplements to some articles of the Law on CreditOrganisations, the amended Law on Corruption Prevention and Control, the Law onamendments and supplements to some articles of the Law on Judicial Records, theLaw on Public Administration, and the draft revised Law on Public DebtManagement.

Lawmakerswill also discuss preparations for the NA’s fourth session, the government’sreport on the NA’s enforcement of the Constitution, laws and resolutions, theState Audit Office’s audit plan 2018, the draft Decree on the management anduse of State budget on external affairs, the government’s report on thefulfillment of the national target on gender equality.

Theyare due to examine the enforcement of legal regulations on seafood exploitationand processing in tandem with ensuring national defence-security.

Reportsof the Government, the Supreme People’s Court, the Supreme People’s Procuracy, theChief Judge of the Supreme People’s Court and the Chief Justice of the SupremePeople’s Procuracy about the fight against crimes and execution of sentenceswill be also under review.-VNA
