National Assembly to convene Q&A sessions this week

Hanoi (VNA) – The 14th National Assembly (NA) will hold question and answer (Q&A) sessions fromNovember 16-18 as part of its ongoing fourth session.

Based on NA deputies’ opinions,issues related to finance, information and communications, banking, and courtaffairs received the most attention.

Therefore, Minister of FinanceDinh Tien Dung, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan,Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Le Minh Hung, and Chief Justice of theSupreme People’s Court Nguyen Hoa Binh will take the floor to answer lawmakers’queries.

During the Q&A sessions,deputy prime ministers, ministers, and heads of sectors involved will be possiblyinvited to clear up questioned issues.

The Q&A sessions will bebroadcast live.

This week, deputies are expectedto adopt a resolution on state budget estimates for 2018, a Resolution on centralbudget allocation in 2018, a draft Law on Forest Protection and Development.

They will also discuss severaldraft laws and resolutions, exchanging views on a feasibility study report on aproject on land reclamation, compensation and resettlement for Long Thanhinternational airport in southern Dong Nai province.-VNA
