National conference on resolutions of 13th Party Central Committee’s sixth plenum opens
The Politburo and the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee on December 5 opened a national conference on the resolutions adopted at the sixth plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee.
Hanoi (VNA) – The Politburo and theSecretariat of the Party Central Committee on December 5 opened a nationalconference on the resolutions adopted at the sixth plenum of the 13th Party Central Committee.
The hybrid event was attended by Politburo memberand Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, former Politburo members and NationalAssembly Chairpersons Nguyen Sinh Hung and Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, and Politburomember and permanent member of the Secretariat Vo Van Thuong, among others,along with more than 1 million Party members nationwide.
The two-day conference is intended to raise theawareness and responsibility of all-level Party Committees and members in theimplementation of major viewpoints, targets, tasks and solutions set in thedocuments.
The participants will look into some schemes,including those on continuing to build and perfect a rule-of-law socialist State inthe new period, continuing to renew the Party leadership over thepolitical system in the new period, continuing to promote nationalindustrialistion and modernisation by 2030 with a vision towards 2045, and orientations for the national master plan for 2021 – 2030, with avision to 2050.
Following the conference, Party Committees ofcities, provinces and centrally-run agencies will spend five days buildingaction programmes and plans to materialise resolutions and conclusions of thesixth plenum, which took place last October./.
The 13th Party Central Committee concluded its sixth plenum on October 9 morning with the closing session chaired by Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
The 13th Party Central Committee held the sixth session in Hanoi from October 3 to 9 to discuss the Politburo’s proposals, plans, and reports related to some major issues, according to its announcement.
The Inspection Commission of the Party Central Committee held the 22nd meeting on November 1-2, deciding disciplinary measures on a number of Party organisations and officials.

Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien welcomed the proposals put forward by the US side and reiterated Vietnam’s request for consideration of key areas of interest, including reciprocal tariff policies and access for Vietnamese key export products to the US market.
Deputy PM Le Thanh Long proposed countries promote shared values, including building trust, sincerity, and solidarity among nations and peoples; fostering cooperation spirit and responsible behaviour as well as upholding international law and the UN Charter; and placing people at the centre and as the goal, the key player, and the driving force of all policies.
The show, together with a grand parade to be held silmutaneously at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day, and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA).

The country is willing to participate in collective efforts to promote cooperation and mobilise resources to advance the current priority issues of developing countries, such as trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity, making the most of scientific and technological advances for development, and people-to-people exchanges, Hang said.
During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
