Hanoi (VNA) – The National Press Festival openedat the Hanoi Museum on April 13, displaying outstanding publications in early2022.
The event is held by the Vietnam Journalists’Association (VJA) and the Hanoi People’s Committee in collaboration with theParty Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, theMinistry of Information and Communications, and the Ministry of Culture,Sports and Tourism.
It takes place on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the VJA (April 21), towards the 97th VietnamRevolutionary Press Day (June 21).

Following the opening ceremony is the exhibitionmarking the 100th anniversary of “Le Paria” newspaper.
A series of other events will also be organised onthe sidelines of the festival, including a press photo show on springroads, a forum on digital transformation, a talk on humanity in journalism anda concert featuring music performances by journalists.
The organiser will also present several awards forthe best Tet (Lunar New Year) magazine cover photo, the best news websitedesign and the best TV and radio programmes. There is also an award for organisations and individuals with outstanding activities at thefestival.
The festival, to last until April 15, provides anopportunity to honour the strong development of Vietnam’s journalism andjournalists’ creative works, and to promote exchange and cooperation betweenjournalists and the public./.
