Singapore (VNA) -A shipment of nine armoured military vehicles used by the Singapore ArmedForces (SAF) is being held at Hong Kong's Kwai Chung Container Terminal, Singapore'sMinistry of Defence (MINDEF) said in a statement on November 24.

According to the statement,the shipment of Terrex Infantry Carrier Vehicles (ICVs), used by SAF foroverseas training, are delayed in Hong Kong (China) when being shipped fromKaohsiung, Taiwan (China) to Singapore.

MINDEF said Singaporeauthorities are providing relevant assistance to the Hong Kong Customs andexpect the shipment to return to Singapore expeditiously.

It added that the Terrex ICVswere used by the SAF in routine overseas training and shipped back viacommercial means as with previous exercises.

Terrex is Singapore’s latesteight-wheel vehicles, annually used by SAF for training in a military camp inHsinchu province, southwest of Taiwan./.
