No information on UK’s support for repatriation of truck death victims: spokesperson
Vietnam has not received any information on the UK’s financial support for the return of the bodies/ashes of 39 Vietnamese nationals found dead in a refrigerated lorry last month in Essex, the UK, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang.

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam has notreceived any information on the UK’s financial support for the return of the bodies/ashesof 39 Vietnamese nationals found dead in a refrigerated lorry last month in Essex,the UK, said Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang.
Responding to reporters’ questions related to the issue, and on theVietnamese Government’s support measures in this regard, Hang said at a regularpress conference of the Foreign Ministry on November 21 thatVietnam’s relevant agencies are actively coordinating with the British side toassist the victims’ families in an humanitarian spirit and in accordance with regulationsof international law and the laws and customs of Vietnam and the UK.

A working session was held in Hanoi on November 8 to discuss citizen protection measures regarding the case of 39 victims found dead in a container truck in the UK on October 23.
One day after announcing the information affirming that all the 39 victims in the incident of the container truck, detected in Essex county, northeast of London, on October 23, are Vietnamese, the Ministry of Public Security on November 8 evening officially announced their identities.
