Only schools in Hanoi’s Ba Vi allowed to reopen on November 8

Students of some grades in only Ba Vi district of Hanoi can go to school from November 8, according to the latest document signed by Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung on November 6.

Hanoi (VNA) – Students of some grades in only Ba Vi district ofHanoi can go to school from November 8, according to the latest document signedby Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Chu Xuan Dung on November6.

Specifically, in each commune or town which has not recordedany COVID-19 cases in the community in the past 14 days, the district'sSteering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control selects one school toresume in-classroom teaching for students of Grades 5, 6, 9, 10 and 12.

Students in other grades in the district, and all students in 29 otherdistricts and townships continue to study online. All preschools also remainclosed.

This decision was made as the COVID-19 pandemic continues todevelop more complicatedly in the city.

Earlier, on November 1 when the city reported about 10infections a day, the municipal People’s Committee allowed schools in suburbandistricts and townships to reopen for in-classroom teaching for students of Grades 5, 6, 9, 10 and 12./.
