Hanoi (VNA) – The 12th-tenure Party Central Committeeopened its 10th meeting in Hanoi on May 16.
The meeting will discuss draft documents to besubmitted to the 13th National Party Congress, slated for early 2021,preparations for all-level Party congresses on the threshold of the nationalcongress, and other issues.
The documents under consideration include adraft political report, a draft report on the 10-year implementation of the2011 Platform, one on the implementation of the socio-economic developmentstrategy for 2011-2020, and another on Party building and the execution of the Partystatutes.
Participants will discuss a report on the issuesthe Politburo has solved since the Central Committee’s last meeting inDecember. They will also look into the inspection, monitoring and execution ofthe Party disciplines in 2018.
In his opening speech, Party General Secretaryand State President Nguyen Phu Trong recognised efforts by the 13th congress’ssub-committees for documents, economy-society and the Party’s statutes toprepare draft documents. Although the documents are drafts, this is animportant beginning to ensure quality documents for the future.
He asked members of the Party Central Committeeto thoroughly consider the documents and proposals put forth in the drafts.
The leader emphasised that this meeting’s agendais crucial to the completion of the 12th Party Central Committee’s politicaltasks and preparations for the documents to be submitted to the 13th nationalcongress.
The 10th meeting of the Party CentralCommittee is scheduled to last through May 18.-VNA
