Party Central Committee discusses socio-economic reports

Hanoi (VNA) – Members of the 12th Party Central Committee on October 9 discussed a draft report summarising theimplementation of the socio-economic strategy in the 2011-2020 period and thebuilding of a plan for the 2021-2030 period, as part of their ongoing 11th session.
During their third sitting day, chaired by Politburo memberand Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, they also gave opinions to a draft reporton the socio-economic situation in the 2016-2020 periodand the socio-economic development plan for the 2021-2025 period.
In the afternoon, members of the committees and delegates workedin group on a report on the socio-economic situation in 2019 and the Statebudget in the year.
They also commented on a draft plan for socio-economicdevelopment for 2020, budget estimate in 2020 and the budget-finance plan forthe 2020-2022 period./.
The 12th-tenure Party Central Committee held the concluding session of its 10th meeting in Hanoi on May 18 morning under the chair of Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong.

The UN Secretary-General praised Vietnam’s remarkable achievements in socio-economic development and international integration in recent years, noting that the country has emerged as a model in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting international peace and security, and engaging in key UN processes.
