♛ Personnel matters were the main focus of the Party Central Committee(PCC) in the morning of May 14, the fourth working day of the PCC’s 12th plenum.

Underthe chair of Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, the PCCelected an additional two members to the PCC’s Inspection Commission, 12th tenure. ThePCC also considered and decided on a disciplinary measure against AdmiralNguyen Van Hien, former PCC member and former Deputy Minister of Defence, by expelling him from the Party. Inthe afternoon, the PCC held the closing session, during which Pham Minh Chinh,Politburo member, member of the PCC Secretariat and head of the PCC’s OrganisationCommission, delivered a report of the Politburo on acquiring and explaining thePCC’s opinions on personnel work of the 12th PCC, orientations forpersonnel work of the 13th PCC, and criteria, structure, number andallocation plan of delegates to the 13th National Party Congress. NguyenThi Kim Ngan, Politburo member and Chairwoman of the National Assembly, presentedthe Politburo’s report on acquiring and explaining the PCC’s opinions on the blueprinton the directions for the election of deputies to the 15th NationalAssembly and People’s Councils at all levels in the 2021-2026 tenure. ThePCC voted to adopt a resolution of the 12th plenum. PartyGeneral Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong delivered the closingremarks./.
