Hanoi (VNA) – PartyGeneral Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong hailed ongoing visit by Cambodian PrimeMinister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen during a reception in Hanoion December 20, saying that it deeply manifests the ties between the twonations.

The Party chief expressed hisprofound gratitude to invaluable support that the Cambodia People’s Party,government and people have provided for Vietnam during the struggle fornational liberation and reunification as well as the current construction anddevelopment.

He asked Hun Sen to offer continuedassistance to Vietnamese nationals and enterprises, making it easier for them tolead a stable life and help with fostering traditional friendship between thetwo nations.

Hun Sen, for his part, spoke highlyof the outcomes of cooperation between the two Parties over the past years andthanked Vietnam for providing immense, invaluable, pure, effective and timelysupport saving Cambodians from genocide and preventing that regime from comingback as well as promoting the national development at present.

Informing the host of the outcomes oftalks with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc the same day, Hun Sen expressed hiswish to nurturing bilateral solidarity and friendship.

He also expressed his sympathy withlosses recently suffered by residents in the central region and affirmed that nomatter how the world situation changes, the ties between Cambodia and Vietnamwill be unchangeable.

The two leaders shared view that thetwo neighbouring countries need to stay united for the benefit of the twopeoples and for mutual development.-VNA
