Hanoi (VNA) – PartyGeneral Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong made visits to several former Party andleaders at their homes on January 25 on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar NewYear (Tet) and the 87th founding anniversary of the Communist Partyof Vietnam.

Meeting with former Party GeneralSecretary Do Muoi, who turns 100 this February 2, General Secretary Nguyen PhuTrong wished him good health and longevity.

The Party chief informed Do Muoiabout the Party and country situation, as well as achievements that the Party,armed forces and people have reaped over the past years.

General Secretary Nguyen PhuTrong also offered incense in memory of the late Party General Secretary LeDuan ./.
