Hanoi (VNA)ღ – The Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee convened its regular meeting in Hanoi on August 9 under the chair of Party General Secretary and President To Lam.

At the meeting, Lam assessed that the Politburo and the Party Central Committee Secretariat have closely followed the Party Central Committee’s plan for the entire tenure and organised many conferences in flexible forms, both in-person and online, to effectively implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. The Party Central Committee Office, Party agencies, relevant agencies and organisations have coordinated effectively in advising and organising implementation; and the implementation of documents and conclusions issued by the Politburo and the Secretariat also produced effective results.
However, the workload of the Politburo and the Secretariat from now until the end of 2024 as well as preparation work for the 14th National Party Congress in 2025 remain large.
Lam requested the Politburo to give priority to plans that will be submitted to the 10th and following plenums of the 13th Party Central Committee, and those which can create momentum for socio-economic development, improve people's lives, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for localities and businesses, and stabilise political and social situations. He asked the Politburo to address arising problems under the motto "putting first and foremost the interests of the nation and people"./.
