The event aims to celebrate the 80th founding anniversary of the VPA (December 22, 1944-2024), and the 35th anniversary of the All-People Defence Day (December 22, 1989-2024).

The audience and music lovers had the opportunity to listen to the heroic and lively melodies of songs, featuring themes about the life as well as struggles to safeguard the Fatherland of VPA soldiers. These songs also praise the love and pride for the nation, celebrate the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam, and honour the great President Ho Chi Minh.

The Vietnamese War Veterans' Association in Berlin-Brandenburg of Germany held a ceremony on December 15 to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army (December 22, 1944 - 2024), 35 years of the All People’s Defence Festival (December 22, 1989 - 2024) and the 15th anniversary of the association.
Journalist Gaston Fiorda, an expert on Southeast Asian affairs at the National Radio of Argentina, has praised contributions of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA), highlighting it as the pride of the Vietnamese nation, and the symbol of heroic sacrifice and courage.
This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.
