Party official pledges support to Quang Trung Software City

HCM City (VNA) – The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Commission forInformation and Education will work with relevant ministries and agencies to removedifficulties and provide the best possible support for Quang Trung SoftwareCity (QTSC), Vo Van Thuong, head of the committee, has said.

At a working sessionwith representatives of QTSC in Ho Chi Minh City on February 12, Thuong, who isalso Politburo member and Secretary of the CPV Central Committee, laudedachievements the company has recorded over the recent past, especially the lastfive years.

As the biggest IT parkin Vietnam, QTSC has helped attract investments and promote IT development in HCMCity, while contributing to spurring the city socio-economic development, hesaid.

Thuong urged QTSC tomake greater efforts in order to catch up with the fourth industrialrevolution, and organise annual forums to gather opinions from big businesses andinvestors on the company’s development.

The official used theoccasion to ask leaders of HCM City to pay more attention to the company,helping it develop further and reap greater achievements.

Lam Nguyen Hai Long, Directorof the Quang Trung Software City Development Company Limited, said QTSC hasbeen named in the list of top three technological parks in Asia and become atrust-worthy geographical indication in attracting foreign investment inVietnam’s software sector.

QTSC now has 150 businesses,including 50 foreign enterprises, operating in the fields of software, digitalcontent and IT services, along with micro IT enterprises and start-ups.

QTSC aims to completeprocedures to serve the building of the HCM City software area and deploy theconstruction of  Quang Trung 2 Software Cityin Cu Chi district, he said, adding that QTSC will prioritise internet ofthings (IoT) application and create a modern and convenient environment ascompared with other ASEAN nations.

Thuong and hisentourage then visited TMA Solutions, the second largest software company inVietnam, which provides services for customers from 25 countries andterritories in the world, and QTSC’s telecommunications centre.-VNA
