Party official receives Soong Ching Ling Foundation leader
Politburo member and head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission Truong Thi Mai has lauded the Soong Ching Ling Foundation and its Chairman Wang Jiarui for their contribution to the friendship between Vietnam and China’s parties, countries, and people over the past years.

Hanoi (VNA) – Politburo member and head of theParty Central Committee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission Truong Thi Mai has laudedthe Soong Ching Ling Foundation and its Chairman Wang Jiarui for theircontribution to the friendship between Vietnam and China’s parties, countries,and people over the past years.
During a reception in Hanoi on April 2 for Chairman Wang,Mai expressed her delight at the substantial development of Vietnam-China tiesacross the fields from economy, trade, tourism, and people-to-people exchange.
She expressed her wish that the foundation would expandcollaboration with Vietnamese partners, hold more people-to-people exchangeactivities, especially those for young people, for the two countries to raise mutualunderstanding and educate younger generations about the special relationsbetween the two parties, countries, and peoples.
Wang, for his part, believed that bilateral ties would keepgrowing.
He affirmed that the Soong Ching Ling Foundation would stepup ties with Vietnamese partners in suitable areas to further the relationsbetween the two countries. –VNA
A high-ranking military delegation of Vietnam led by Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Chi Vinh is paying a working visit to China from February 19 to 22.
A specialised route for goods transportation was opened on March 21, linking the Tan Thanh border gate of Vietnam’s northern border province of Lang Son with the Pu Zhai border gate of China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
