Hanoi (VNA) – Party General Secretaryand President Nguyen Phu Trong hosted a reception for his Lao counterpart BounnhangVolachith in Hanoi on August 9.
The leaders congratulated the other country on itsimportant achievements in external and internal affairs after more than threeyears of implementing resolutions of the national congresses of the CommunistParty of Vietnam (CPV) and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP).
They expressed their belief that under theleadership of the CPV and LPRP, both countries will continue gaining greateraccomplishments in the cause of national reform, construction and defence, aswell as implement successfully the targets set by the national congresses of eachParty.
Both leaders showed their delight at the practicaland effective development of the Vietnam-Laos relations in all fields, thus bringingbenefits to their people and contributing to peace, stability, cooperation anddevelopment in the region and beyond.
They highly appreciated the timely and effectivesupport and assistance that the two Parties and States have provided each otherfrom the past to present.
The leaders affirmed to closely work together toeffectively implement agreements between the two countries’ senior leaders aswell as spare no effort to preserve and nurture the traditional friendship,special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, andpass the relationship to young generations.
The host and guest informed each other about thesituation in Vietnam and Laos, especially the Party building, including thepreparations for all-level Party Congresses towards the National Congress ofthe CPV and LPRP.
They also discussed the regional and globalsituations and exchanged views on measures to promote the special solidaritybetween Vietnam and Laos in the time ahead.-VNA

NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man stressed the need to accelerate the application of artificial intelligence and smart teaching equipment, innovate teaching and assessment methods, and further improve the quality of formal education.
He also pledged that the NA will promote its ongoing supervision, making sure that every promise must lead to results, and every commitment must bring about real changes.
