Party, State leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on his 135th birthday

Hanoi (VNA) – A delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee, State President, National Assembly, Government, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee laid wreaths at President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum on May 19 morning to pay tribute to the late leader on the occasion of his 135th birth anniversary (May 19, 1890 - 2025).
♕ The ceremony was attended by Politburo members: General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee To Lam, State President Luong Cuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Permanent member of the CPV Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, and Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien.

Also present at the ceremony were former General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee Nong Duc Manh; former National Assembly Chairpersons Nguyen Sinh Hung and Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; former Permanent member of the CPV Central Committee's Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong, along with incumbent Politburo members, Secretaries of the CPV Central Committee, the State Vice President, Vice Chairpersons of the National Assembly, Deputy Prime Ministers, and leaders from various ministries and central agencies.

🦋 After that, the delegation laid wreaths and offered incense at the monument dedicated war heroes and martyrs on Bac Son street to commemorate the soldiers who laid down their lives in the struggle for national liberation, independence, freedom, and the happiness of the people.

The same morning, delegations from the Central Military Commission – Ministry of National Defence; Central Public Security Commission – Ministry of Public Security; and the Party Committee, the People’s Council, and the People’s Committee of Hanoi also laid wreaths in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh and fallen combatants./.
Throughout every stage of its formation, development, and historic victories, the Vietnam People’s Army has been profoundly shaped and guided by the heartfelt affection, encouragement, and moral instruction of President Ho Chi Minh.
On May 19, 1890, at a lotus village in Nam Dan district, the central province of Nghe An, a boy named Nguyen Sinh Cung was born. At that time, no one could have foreseen that he would one day change the destiny of a nation, becoming a brilliant leader, an outstanding revolutionary, a national liberation hero, and a world cultural celebrity.
President Ho Chi Minh – the genius leader of the Party and the Vietnamese people, the national liberation hero, the outstanding cultural celebrity – is a beautiful symbol of patriotism, steadfast revolutionary will and immense humanity. His revolutionary life is an immortal epic of intelligence, courage and loyalty to the Fatherland and the people. He is the torch that lights the way for the Vietnamese people on their journey to a bright future. The legacy that President Ho Chi Minh left behind is a great source of inspiration for today’s and future generations to continue their efforts to build, protect and develop the Vietnamese Fatherland in the new era.
The Party and State of Vietnam always attach great importance to and give top priority to the development of Vietnam–China relations. Vietnam is ready to work with the Chinese Party and State to further deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and promote the building of the Vietnam-China community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
Under the leadership of President Ho Chi Minh and the CPV, President Cuong said, the press has been a steadfast force on the ideological and cultural front, rallying the masses to pursue national aspirations.

Lao Minister of Foreign Affairs Thongsavanh Phomvihane affirmed that the presence of Vietnamese press offices in Laos vividly demonstrates the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations, as the press is not only a means of communication but also an important bridge for spreading consciousness about the history, values, and strategic depth of the Laos – Vietnam relationship to the people of both countries and the international community.
The country is willing to participate in collective efforts to promote cooperation and mobilise resources to advance the current priority issues of developing countries, such as trade, investment, infrastructure connectivity, making the most of scientific and technological advances for development, and people-to-people exchanges, Hang said.
During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
The Chairman stressed the need for stricter fiscal discipline, faster digital transformation, and more efficient management of State budget revenues and expenditures.
