Hanoi (VNA) – Personnelmatter will be a focus at the National Assembly on October 24, the fourthworking day of the NA’s 6th session.
💧 At the beginning of the morning session, theNA will hear a report on the outcome of group discussions on the appointment ofa new Minister of Information and Communication.
The day before, the NA approved through voting the removal of Truong Minh Tuan from the post of Minister of Information and Communication and passed a resolution on the removal.
The NA will then cast their voteon the appointment of the new minister. A resolution on the NA’s approval of the appointment isexpected to be passed after the announcement of the result of vote counting.

Deputies of the 14th National Assembly on October 23 elected Nguyen Phu Trong, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, as the State President for the 2016-2021 tenure during their on-going sixth session in Hanoi.
The Standing Committee of the National Assembly (NA) has recently issued a resolution on promoting law enforcement on the management and use of foreign loans.
The National Assembly elected a new President of the country and discussed several important reports and proposals of the Government during the second working day of the 6th session.
There have been some mixed ideas regarding the revision of the Law on Public Investment, with some lawmakers supporting the revision of only certain articles, and others that share the Government’s view that the law deserves more comprehensive amendments.
