Petrol prices remain unchanged ahead of Lunar New Year

Hanoi (VNA) – ꦚThe prices of all petroland oil will be kept unchanged in the latest regular adjustment of petrol andoil prices on February 3.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministryof Finance announced that the prices of E5 are not higher than 18,672 VND perlitre, and those of diesel 0.05S and kerosene should not be higher than 15,959VND per litre and 14,560 VND per litre, respectively.

🥃 The changes took effect from 15:00 on February 3.

Meanwhile, the two ministries also decided toadjust the price stabilisation fund for E5 bio-fuel at 1,141 VND per litrewhile the use of the fund for diesel was 678 VND per litre.

The Ministries of Industry-Trade and Financeconducted a review of fuel prices every 15 days to adjust the prices inaccordance with fluctuations on the world market.

The average global price of petrol products during the last 15 days to February3 was at 78.039 USD per barrel for RON 92 and 81.978 USD for diesel. 

꧑ The two ministries decided to maintain the petrol prices to support productionof domestic firms prior and control inflation to 2018 Lunar New Year.

In 2017, petrol and oil prices were adjusted 24times, including nine hikes and nine drops.-VNA
