Hanoi (VNA) – A rescue operation was launched by Philippine authorities on November 7 after a ferry with at least 60 people onboard capsized in rough seas.

The country’s coast guard said the vessel was movingnear the central island Cebu when its crew radioed for help, saying the vesselwas taking on water.

Authorities said there hasn’t a tally, but allthose they recovered are alive.
