Photo contest for foreigners in Vietnam kicks off

A photo contest running with the theme of “Vietnam through the lens of foreign photographers” has been launched by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Hanoi (VNA) - A photo contest running with the theme of “Vietnamthrough the lens of foreign photographers” has been launched by the Departmentof Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sportsand Tourism.

The competition is part of the first “Vietnam International PhotographyFestival” which is scheduled get underway in northern Ninh Binh province, theVoice of Vietnam (VOV) reported.

The event is open to Vietnamese and foreign amateur and professionalphotographers to submit their works which showcase the beauty of Vietnameseland and people.

All entries must be sent to the organising board’s email addressphotofestival2021vn@gmail.com before August 20. Each photographer is permittedto send a maximum of 20 photos.

Following the conclusion of the competition, a total of 250 winning works willbe put on display at an exhibition held in Ninh Binh in early November.

The Vietnam International Photography Festival is taking place as part of arange of activities during the 2021 National Tourism Year in Ninh Binh and aimsto develop the brand of Vietnamese photography. This will thereby help topromote the country’s image whilst simultaneously enhancing internationalexchanges through photography./.
