Photo exhibition highlights Hanoi’s past, present architecture

Hanoi (VNA)ꦗ – A photoexhibition featuring the past and present architecture of Hanoi as well as thedevelopment of the capital city opened at 45 Trang Tien street on July 13.

The exhibition, co-organisedby the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and the Hanoi ArtisticPhotography Association, showcases 132 outstanding works, reflecting acomprehensive picture of Hanoi’s architecture.

The photos captured traditional and moderncharacteristics as well as historical and cultural values of differentstructures in Hanoi such as temples, pagodas, buildings, monuments and urbansceneries, according to Vu Quoc Khanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Association ofPhotographic Artists.

They were selected from 1,446 entries sent by 233photographers to the sixth Hanoi Art Photography Festival 2017.

The jurymen presented two silver and threebronze medals and five consolidation prizes to the most excellent works. 

The exhibition will run through July 16.-VNA

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.

Vietnam take silver in AFF U19 Final

Despite strong home support and high expectations, Vietnam were unable to overcome the defending champions, who secured their third consecutive win over Vietnam in a regional final, following previous victories in 2014 and 2023.
