Hanoi (VNA) – PrimeMinister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended a teleconference on March 13 reviewingthree-month operation of the National Public Service Portal.
Speaking at the event, PM Phucsaid the addition of 11 public services on the portal has helped save time andcost, especially amid the COVID-19 outbreak at present.
He also asked localities to soonconnect with the portal and standardise data on the national database onadministrative procedures, making it easier for businesses and people toaccess.
The PM requested launching amonitoring system for e-government to gauge the level of the use of onlinepublic services in ministries, agencies and localities.
At the same time, he calledfor stepping up online payment of fees and taxes as well as financialobligations in the handling of administrative procedures.
The Finance Ministry wasassigned to offer fee exemption and reduction to users of online payment of publicadministrative services.
About cyber security andsafety, he asked the Government Office to work closely with the Ministry ofInformation and Communications and the Ministry of Public Security to preventleaks of data.
The Government Office was alsoassigned to build a centre to update data as well as monthly, quarterly andannual socio-economic reports.
As of March 11, theGovernment Report Platform launched 19 report functions of nine ministries andagencies.
After three months ofoperation, the portal has connected with 14 ministries and 63 localities, withnearly 79,000 subscribers, over 23 million visits and 2.9 million submitteddocuments./.
