PM directs measures to improve culture in public service
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has told lawmakers that he asked ministries, departments and agencies in the political system to take five synchronous measures to improve public service culture.
Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister NguyenXuan Phuc has told lawmakers that he asked ministries, departments and agenciesin the political system to take five synchronous measures to improve publicservice culture.
They were asked to amend and supplement theLaw on Cadres and Civil Servants and the Law on Public Employees, and documentsguiding the enforcement of them.
They must also push forward the delegationof authority and assign tasks to heads of agencies to tighten discipline inpublic service, enhance inspections of legal enforcement and deal withviolations in line with the law.
The third measure is to intensifyinspections of public services and strictly deal with violations.
More communication activities will beconducted to enhance civil servants and public employees’ sense ofresponsibility and rule obedience.
Administrative procedures must be made openand transparent while administrative reforms stepped up, focusing on the use ofmodern technology to cut procedures, practise thrift, prevent wastefulness, andimprove work efficiency.-VNA
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has approved a project on a new national public service portal, with people and businesses the centre of these services.

The fact that the Vietnamese PM has been invited to attend and speak at this important event for three consecutive years reflects the WEF as well as the international business community's recognition and high regard for Vietnam's position, role, and contributions to global and regional economic growth.
This new era marks a crucial phase in which the country must strive with determination to fulfil its strategic objectives, achieving breakthrough development at new levels of sophistication, quality, and global standing, laying the foundation for further growth.
