Hanoi(VNA) – Vietnam is willing to share experience in wet rice cultivation andother fields with Cameroon, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said at his receptionfor Cameroon Foreign Minister Lejeune Mbella Mbella in Hanoi on December 27.

PM Phuc took theoccasion to thank the Cameroon Government for backing Vietnamese investors inthe country.

He said that Cameroon’soffering of optimal conditions for Vietnamese firms has helped facilitateVietnamese investment in the country, which is evidence of the fruitfulbilateral cooperation.

Expressing delight atthe growing ties between Vietnam and Cameroon, he declared that Vietnam alwaystreasures the traditional friendship with the African country and hopes tobroaden economic collaboration to match their sound political relations.

He also lauded theclose coordination between the two sides at regional and international forumsover the past years.

The Government leadersaid he believes that the visit of Cameroon Foreign Minister Lejeune MbellaMbella, during which many important bilateral agreements were signed, will helpopen up a new chapter in the Vietnam-Cameroon partnership.

For his part, theCameroon Foreign Minister said that his country pays special attention to expandingties with Vietnam, which is the reason of his visit.

He said that alongwith agricultural development, Cameroon is focusing on upgrading infrastructuresystem such as roads, ports and airports. The country is also keen on developingenergy, information technology and digital economy, he said, expressing hope topromote partnership with Vietnam in these fields.-VNA
