PM receives Governor of Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung received Governor of Japan’s Kanagawa prefecture Kuroiwa Yuji on July 3 on the occasion of his working visit to Japan to attend the seventh Mekong-Japan Summit.

Governor Yuji informed the PM of the preparations for the VietnamFestival in Kanagawa, co-organised by the prefecture, the VietnameseMinistry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy in September.

This will be the largest event on Vietnam held in Japan so far and isexpected to attract the participation of hundreds of thousands ofvisitors, he said.

The Governor also discussedpromoting a potential industrial zone for Kanagawa enterprises inVietnam to boost investments, particularly in support industries, aswell as cooperation in health, sports and human resources.

PM Nguyen Tan Dung appreciated the Governor’s efforts and initiative to enhance collaboration with Vietnam.

He suggested the prefecture intensify partnerships with Hanoi andaffirmed that Vietnam will actively coordinate with Kanagawa tosuccessfully organise the Vietnam Festival.

Heasked the Governor to share experience with and support Vietnam inagriculture, health and bio-technology as well as in building the smartcity model and receiving Vietnamese students to learn in the prefecture.-VNA
