Hanoi (VNA) - State President Luong Cuong, who is also Chairman of the National Defence and Security Council and head of the people's armed forces, has handed over a decision on promoting Le Quoc Hung, member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Minister of Public Security, from the rank of Lieutenant General to Senior Lieutenant General.

Speaking at the ceremony held in Hanoi on December 27, the President praised Hung for his competence and outstanding achievements that he has obtained in his career. The officer was honoured with the second-class Feat of Arms Order in 2022, the first-class Feat of Arms Order in 2024 and other noble awards.

For his part, Hung pledged to be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, Party, State and people, uphold revolutionary ethics and regularly cultivate himself.

꧅ He said he will continue to work with the Central Public Security Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security to proactively provide advice for the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, the President, the National Assembly and the Government to lead the successful implementation of the task of protecting the Party, the State and the socialist regime, ensuring safety, security, order and a peaceful and happy life for the people./.
