Politburo, Secretariat discipline violating Party members

The Politburo and Secretariat of the Party Central Committee issued disciplinary measures against some Party members with wrongdoings and shortcomings at a meeting in Hanoi on January 10.

Hanoi (VNA) 𝔉– The Politburo and Secretariat of the Party Central Committee issued disciplinary measures against some Party members with wrongdoings and shortcomings at a meeting in Hanoi on January 10.

After considering proposals from the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, the Politburo held that as Secretary of the Binh Thuan provincial Party Committee from October 2020 to March 2024, Duong Van An broke the Party’s regulations and the State’s law during the performance of his assigned tasks and duties, as well as in the combat against corruption, wastefulness, and negative phenomena. He also violated the rules on the things that Party members are banned from doing, and on the responsibility for setting good examples. His actions led to serious consequences, caused big losses to the State budget, triggered negative public opinion, and undermined the prestige of the local Party organisation and administration. Meanwhile, Le O Pich, while serving as member of the Bac Giang provincial Party Committee’s Standing Board, member of the Party Civil Affairs Board at and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Bac Giang province, showed degradation in political thought, morality, and lifestyle. He violated the Party’s regulations and the State’s law during the performance of his assigned tasks and duties, and in the combat against corruption, wastefulness, and negative phenomena. He infringed the rules on the things that Party members are banned from doing, and on the responsibility for setting good examples. His actions resulted in very serious consequences, stirred public concern, and negatively impacted the prestige of the local Party organisation and administration.
Ly Vinh Quang, while serving as member of the provincial Party Committee, member of the Party Civil Affairs Board at and Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee of Lang Son province, showed degradation in political thought, morality, and lifestyle. He violated the Party’s regulations and the State’s law during the performance of his assigned tasks and duties, and in the combat against corruption, wastefulness, and negative phenomena. He broke the rules on the things that Party members are banned from doing, and on the responsibility for setting good examples. His actions caused very serious consequences, stirred public concern, and negatively impacted the prestige of the local Party organisation and administration.
Given the content, nature, seriousness, consequences, and causes of their wrongdoings along with the Party’s discipline regulations, the Politburo decided to give a warning to Duong Van An, and expel Le O Pich and Ly Vinh Quang from the Party. It also asked relevant authorities to take administrative disciplinary moves in a timely manner and in accordance with the Party’s actions./.
