Quang Ninh (VNA)🐼 -- Eighty powered paraglidingpilots joined a performance in Ha Long city in the northeastern province ofQuang Ninh on October 8, setting Vietnam’s record for the biggest number ofpilots in a powered-paragliding performance.
The pilots are from 15 paragliding associations, clubs andcompanies. The event was held by the Do Giang Trading and Services JointStock Company and KingSky International Event Communication Joint StocksCompany. According to the organisers, the event aims to introduce thesport to the public and promote the beautiful scenery of Ha Long Bay and QuangNinh province to domestic and international tourists.

Do Khanh Giang, head of the organising committee, said thatthe event was held for the first time in Vietnam on a large scale and thatparagliding is a quite popular adventure sport in Vietnam. Tuong Chau Huan, a pilot from Da Nang city’s Paragliding Clubsaid that paragliding to enjoy Ha Long Bay is a wonderful experience. He said the event is an opportunity for paragliding pilotsand paragliding fans to exchange knowledge and skills. He hopes thatparagliding will develop further, serving the needs of tourists for sightseeingand creating an attractive tourism product./.
