Nguyen Trai, whose pen name was Uc Trai, was born in Chi Ngaicommune in Chi Linh district in the northern province of Hai Duong in 1380. Hefollowed Le Loi in the resistance war against the Ming invaders and made greatcontributions to the nation’s glorious victories. Beyond his military prowess, Nguyen Trai was a prolificliterary figure, producing a vast array of literary works, including 110 poemsand the monumental "Binh Ngo Dai Cao" (Great Proclamation upon thePacification of the Wu), which stood as one of the earliest declarations ofindependence in the nation's history. In recognition of his invaluable contributions, UNESCO honouredNguyen Trai on his 600th birth anniversary in 1980, acknowledginghim as a world cultural eminent personality, an eminent military strategist and a talentedpolitician. Commencing on November 14, 2022, the construction of hismemorial site saw significant progress, with nearly all major componentsnearing completion. Meanwhile, the pen-brush ceremony embodies a longstandingcultural tradition of Thuong Tin. It encourages all local officials, Partymembers, and citizens to prioritise education, strive in labour and boostproduction. The first strokes of writing in the Lunar New Year often carry wishes forgoodness, luck and happiness. In the morning the same day,President Thuong visited workers who are building RingRoad No. 4 in the Hanoi Capital Region. The road has a total length of 112.8km, passing throughHanoi, and Hung Yen and Bac Ninh provinces, with a total investment of over 85.81 trillion VND(3.57 billion USD)./.
A traditional pen-brush opening ceremony was launched at the Temple dedicated to Chu Van An in Phuong Hoang mountain, Chi Linh town, northern Hai Duong province on February 13.
The special national relic site Con Son – Kiep Bac in Chi Linh city, the northern province of Hai Duong, welcomed about 120,000 visitors from September 13 to 18 during its autumn festival, up about 40 percent year on year.
Held under the theme “Pride and Aspiration”, this year's “Glory to Vietnam” programme aimed to inspire the Vietnamese people's ambition to reach new heights during the era of integration and development.
According to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (VRC), this year’s campaign provided long-term aid for 3,785 individuals and organisations.
