President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum official honoured with Russia's friendship order

Hanoi (VNA) – Russian Deputy PrimeMinister Dmitry Chernyshenko, on behalf of President VladimirVladimirovich Putin, presented the Friendship Order to Major General Bui Hai Son,acting head of the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board and Commander of thePresident Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Protection Command during a ceremony in Hanoion April 6.

Major General Son was honoured for hiscontributions to strengthening friendship and cooperationbetween Vietnam and Russia.

Addressing the ceremony, Russian Deputy PM Chernyshenkounderlined that Russia highly values the efforts and contributions by the PresidentHo Chi Minh Mausoleum Management Board and Major General Son to the promotionof ties between the two nations.

The Russian side, especially the All-RussianResearch Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (VILAR), will continue tocoordinate with the board to perform the task of maintaining and protecting theutmost safety of President Ho Chi Minh’s body, he stated.

For his part, Major General Son said that the order is great honour to him. Hepledged that in the time to come, the board will continue to further developits sound partnership with the VILAR, while actively contributing toreinforcing the friendship and solidarity between the two nations.

Earlier the same day, Chernyshenko and theRussian delegation laid flowers at the Bac Son Monument for Heroic Martyrs andpaid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum./.
