Hanoi (VNA) – President Tran Dai Quang partlyattributed the success of the 2017 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC)Leaders’ Meeting to contributions by 35 domestic and foreign special, main andco-sponsors during a reception in Hanoi on November 13.
Expressing the Vietnamese State and the National Committeefor APEC 2017’s thanks to them, the President affirmed that the APEC VietnamYear 2017 is the top important diplomatic event of Vietnam not only in 2017 butalso during its tenure.
He lauded thorough preparations for the APEC EconomicLeaders’ Week which he described as a leading economic forum in the region andthe world with a mission to further boost economic-trade-investment among APECmember economies via trade facilitation.
Via the event, Vietnam’s stature has been improved ininternational arena, he said, adding that the success of the APEC EconomicLeaders’ Week and the APEC Vietnam Year 2017 has opened a future withopportunities in economic connectivity and free trade promotion.
The host expressed his wish that the success spirit ofthe APEC Economic Leaders’ Week and the APEC Vietnam Year 2017 will be spread nationwideto further enhance economic and trade ties between Vietnam and countries.-VNA
