She said the visit holds a great significance for the bilateral relationship, as his last visit to Vietnam was in 2017 when attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit.
This trip aims to affirm the comprehensive strategic partnership at a high level and is a reaffirmation of both countries' commitments to complying with the principles of developing their relations.
Noting that this is a very important time when Russia is restructuring its foreign economic relations, the researcher said Vietnam is a developing country and a growing economy which is completely capable of bringing huge opportunities to Russia in terms of bilateral investment, production, agriculture, logistics, and tourism.
Meanwhile, Russia can provide Vietnam with many capabilities in digital technology, smart city building and urban infrastructure, especially as Moscow is one of the most advanced cities in the world in terms of urban infrastructure.
To further promote the bilateral relations, Kireeva proposed increasing two-way investment, abd enhancing cooperation in education by building a common education programme.
♏ This is the fifth visit to Vietnam by President Putin, and Vietnam is also one of the first countries he has visited after taking office for his fifth term in early May, which shows that Vietnam is Russia’s important partner in South Asia, Kireeva added./.
During his 5th visit to Vietnam on June 19 and 20, President Vladimir Putin and a high-ranking delegation of Russia are scheduled to have talks and meetings with senior leaders of Vietnam and some other activities, thereby continuing to enhance and develop the two countries' relations.
